[glow=blue,2,300]How many people will be convinced to join the order now that the return of Voldemorte is publicaly known... and even now that it is publicaly known, look at how many people had joined the order last time, not very many compared to the numbers that Voldemorte once had. And now he even has the advantage of having dementors and a handfull of giants as well.
Personally I think that the order is going to have to pull out all the stoppers on this one and make sure that more members are recruited!![/glow]

Well, as of April 1st the Order now has two secret weapons ready and willing to be unleashed and wreak some MAJOR havoc. Their names are Fred and George Weasley. ;D We have seen the damage that unleashing Fred and George can do. The Death Eaters will never know what hit them ;D But, yeah, I think as the members of the DA graduate, they will easily be recruited for the Order, and if the DA spreads like wildfire next year (which just may happen now that the news of Voldemort's return is out), this is VERY good news for our side. Between Dumbledore and the DA, the Death Eaters and Voldemort don't stand a chance at taking over Hogwarts *knock on wood*. Also, let's not forget the hundred or so house elves that are down in the kitchens. Considering the role of the house elves, do ya REALLY think they won't fight for their master Dumbledore? That power on our side is NOT to be underestimated. As long as our side remembers that the only orders Peeves obeys are orders to create mayhem, if someone orders him to attack/annoy someone -- like a Death Eater -- he will readily obey and that Death Eater had better watch out! Another thing is JKR mentioned we may be seeing Aragog again. Aragog once belonged to Hagrid, so if there's any wizard who can recruit Aragog and Aragog's children for our side, it's Hagrid. What do yall think?

I'm not sure about the giants, but I'm pretty sure that Voldemort had the dementors on his side last time as well. The dementors don't seem to be a recent development, and I think they always were and always will be on Voldemort's side. There is no getting around that. The dementors were present at the trials of suspected Death Eaters to haul them off to Azkaban if found guilty, so we know they've been around at least that long. Which brings forth one very interesting question: What the heck was Fudge THINKING?? First of all, how did he get their alliance to begin with? Second, it seems like anyone with two brain cells to rub together to form a coherent thought would know better than to allow your enemy's natural allies to guard said enemy's greatest supporters, even if these allies were somehow under your control? Especially considering the fact that no one knows for sure if said enemy is, in fact, dead. What do yall think?

[glow=blue,2,300]Voldemorte did have giants, in the 4th book he said something about all the dark creatures coming back to him mainly the dementors and the giants. Yeah, Fudge must have been smoking some floo powder when he thought about trying to make piece with some of Voldemortes known allies...and then letting them watch death eaters?...i think that fudge is on Voldys side, that could explain why he dident want to let people know Voldy was back.[/glow]

I'm guesing a lot of people are going to join the order now. Didn't Voldy have the Giants in the 5th book so unless the ones that were beaten are coming to our side we're not getting any giants.

Well, think about it. What else was Fudge going to do with the dementors? He had to strike a deal with them. He couldn't imprison the dementors (who in their right mind would stick around to guard them?), and he couldn't just let them run rampant. A compromise had to be made. I don't think it means Fudge is working for Voldemort... I think it means Fudge lives in his own little world and was reluctant to return to reality, even with Dumbledore beating him over the head with the Voldemort stick. (Figuratively speaking, of course ;D)
---------------
We should probably think of the Order as the "anti-DEs" as in, the most powerful and last resistance against Voldemort. Everyone in the Order is willing to fight and die for their cause. They can't just go handing out flyers. It needs to stay secret so that Voldemort doesn't know who is in the Order and who isn't. And everyone allowed in on meetings has to be proven completely trustworthy. I can see Dumbledore's supporters growing larger and larger, but the Order is going to remain a very small, close-knitted group.
-----------------------
As for Gred and Forge, I think we can definitely expect some great things from them.

Weell..we do have the aurors against Him, and we do have to remember that the members of the Order are the 'elite' and they have to be powerful trustworthy....etc. they're like the 'secret agents' and they only do the 'top secret' stuff... DD won't just let anyone into the Order. He didn't even let Harry in on this for a while...until it was absolutely necessary.
Also, this is the second time that Voldemort has started a war...people will go one of two ways: they will want to fight to avenge their losses in the first war, or they will cower and hide, for fear of this war being as bad-or worse- then the first.
And I agree with the thing on the twins...they are a force to be reckoned with....but on the DA. Unless Voldemort tries to get into Hogwarts and take the school...I don't think the DA will get to participate in the 'final battle'...and if Aragog and his children will be seen again in the future books...then it givesme a feeling that Voldemort WILL try to take hogwarts
