I think that(As much as I don't want this to happen) Harry will sacrafice himself so that Voldy will die with him.

[glow=red,2,300]Im gonna warn everyone beforhand...this will most likrly not mak any snese to you... To be consice, in trying to kill Harry Voldy made Harry his equal(which we all know...)(dividing Voldy's essence"in essence divided" into Himself and Harry, making them, again, equals.)Therefor giving Harry the potential to kill Voldy.
Then because of this power transfer they are slowly becoming one(because they are becoming so attuned to each other) and eventually (this is my theorie) that they will become one and will both die because they cannot stand to be in the same body.
So one has to kill the other to survuve i.e.the prophecy.

I like your theory Phoenix! I think it is interesting! I do agree that Harry will probably die.
If he lived it would mean he defeated the Dark Lord and good wins over evil! BUT if they both die because they can't both co exist then it is too much like the Matrix ( apologies to those who have not seen it ) But if Evil wins it will be a bitter end and I will be disappointed!
However, there is a theory that Harry is just dreaming which I think is crap! IF he ends up dreaming then I will be more bitter than if Evil wins!

I have thought about the dreaming thing before, but if it is I will be soooo mad!! Not to mention JKR would get so much hate mail for that.

JKR would never end the series with a "Harry woke up and it was all a dream" plotline -- she's a professional author, and such an literary device is regarded as a cop-out. My guess is, Harry won't survive the last book. If I was to place a bet on the matter, I'd say he will choose to sacrifice himself in order to ensure Voldemort's destruction (rather like if Frodo jumped into the cracks of Doom with the ring in LoTR). It'd be a noble act, and one in keeping with the ongoing notion that making the right choices (i.e. Harry choosing not to be in Slytherin, choosing between that which is right and that which is easy, etc.). Evil will not triumph in the end, but Harry may have to die as a result.
